The crystal-clear sea and the rock with his impressive cavities, carved by the sea, are the distinctive signs of Polignano a Mare, known as the "pearl of the Adriatic", just over 40 kilometers from the Villa Pina B&B. Home town of the singer Domenico Modugno, who became famous with his "Nel blu dipinto di blu", Polignano fascinates with the old town full of Arab, Byzantine, Spanish and Norman traces, like the remains of the four defense towers that encircled the ancient part of the town.
This city was elected “European Capital of Culture in 2019”, and is located just over 60 kilometers from the Villa Pina B&B. Matera offers to the visitors a great deal cultural landscape, which is why UNESCO has included them on the World Heritage list. The Park preserves the oldest settlements in the area like the bat cave, the Neolithic villages of Murgecchia, Murgia Timone and Trasanello to the north and the villages of Selva and the Saracen village to the south.

A suggestive beach in the heart of Salento, Porto Cesareo is located an hour's drive from the Villa Pina B&B. This is a very famous tourist destination for its golden sand and enchanted crystal-clear sea.
